A colony of nesting Brandt’s Cormorants is a busy place. The birds place their nests on the ground in close proximity to neighboring nests, leading to a rather chaotic atmosphere. At any given moment you can witness nest-building, stealing of nest material, bickering among neighbors, elaborate courtship displays and mating.
